Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day. Jenelle exchanged valentine's with her friends at school. She hand made each card. We were out at the store and we looked at all the boxed cards. I asked if she wanted to get TinkerBell or something. Nope. She said she is making the cards. She made pink cards for the girls and green cards for the boys because boys don't like pink. Jenelle is very in to scotch tape right now. She closed all the cards with about 8 pieces of tape each. You would need a scissors to get those cards open without ripping them. I eventually caught on and limited her to three pieces of tape per card.

Just to let you know how much she loves her tape:
She dropped the scotched tape and it broke. It just came apart. Nothing big. Well she had huge tears coming down her face. I snapped the thing together and off she went all happy. It's nice to be able to do something simple to brighten her day. How long does mom get to be super hero anyway?

The picture above is the mocha chocolate torte that Jenelle and I made for Valentine's day. I'm always looking for new recipes on the internet and who doesn't like a lot of chocolate on Valentine's day? Jenelle and I thought it was great! The torte was delicious, but very rich. A little piece goes a long way. Yum! Next year I think we'll make something a little lighter and a little less chocolaty.
